GRAPE + BEAN offers single origin, fair trade, and eco-friendly whole bean and custom brewed coffee, roasted by Counter Culture Coffee, NOVO, Blue Bottle, and Stumptown. Our featured beans are never more than days from the original roast date. We offer single origin coffees from all over the world, which--similar to wine-- express different flavors and characteristics that are unique to the terroir (soil) where they are grown. Ask about our BEAN of the month!

GRAPE + BEAN's coffee list varies weekly. We grind and brew each cup to order using the Trifecta which offers a rich, smooth, and delicious cup of coffee (although does require a little patience). GRAPE + BEAN is the only business in the Washington DC area to feature the Trifecta. For people on the run, we also feature a daily drip selection.

To help our customers better appreciate the diversity found in coffee, GRAPE + BEAN has previously hosted great folks from both Counter Culture Coffee and Blue Bottle to lead coffee cuppings. Similar to a wine tasting, a cupping is a standardized method that coffee buyers use to evaluate the coffee they purchase. From Africa to Indonesia to Central America, the practice is the same: participants taste and learn about the fragrance, aromas, flavors, and growing regions of each bean.
